General Sir Michael Walker

The 1st Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment commissioned Sir Michael's portrait in 1998 to celebrate his time as their Commanding Officer, and promotion to General.

After the portrait was installed, Sir Michael wrote to me and said "I have recently visited the 1st Battalion and I was able to see the portrait in 'pride of place' at the head of the Dining Room Table - it looks even more splendid now that it is framed and hung and I know that the Regiment are extremely pleased with it"
